Membrane diffusers from the series Sanitaire Gold are the latest innovation in fine bubble aeration technology. Regardless of whether high density or low air flow is required, they can be tightly mounted on any tank bottom and provide unparalleled sewage aeration efficiency.
The unique diffuser geometry and technologically advanced micro-perforated membrane ensure high density of construction at the bottom of the tank and low air flow rate, thus guaranteeing high oxygen transfer to wastewater with the lowest energy consumption.
Thick, highly flexible polyurethane membranes outperform other membranes in accelerated wear tests. Watertight end connector and sealing system construction that can withstand the stresses of everyday operation further enhance their reliability. They can also be adapted for air-on/air-off applications.
Thanks to their compact design, the complete, pre-assembled diffusers can be easily and quickly installed on site. This in turn translates into the possibility of quickly putting the sewage aeration system into operation.
Sanitaire Diffuser Bases
Sanitaire's easy-to-install diffuser bases provide the highest possible mechanical strength needed to support Sanitaire Gold and Silver II series membranes and Sanitaire ceramic discs.
There is a solid mount underneath every Sanitaire submersible aeration system. These components are an integral part of the Sanitaire fine bubble aeration system and perform a very important support function.
Sanitaire's patented keyed connectors provide a strong connection between the air supply pipes of the diffusers and the manifold and supply pipe. The connectors are designed to compensate for thermal expansion and resist water hammer and other dynamic stresses, and provide a permanent connection of the pipes, preventing leaks, cracks and rotation.
Made of durable, corrosion-resistant stainless steel, Sanitaire supports provide a permanent mount for submerged aeration systems. The sturdy threaded supports feature a highly adjustable mechanism to ensure accurate grate leveling. Specially reinforced Sanitaire supports are available for high velocity and mixer zones.

Modernization and expansion of the sewage treatment plant in Jędrychówek (Morąg) – supply and installation of Sanitaire fine bubble aeration grids and Flygt mixers. As part of this task, Proffico supplied and installed Sanitaire Silver II type membrane disc diffusers and Flygt slow-speed mixers in the activated sludge chambers. The aeration installation was additionally equipped with a special supporting structure enabling its removal without the need to empty the reactor.
Sewage treatment plant in Głogów Małopolski – delivery and installation of the aeration system and Flygt mixers. As part of this task, Proffico delivered and installed Sanitaire Silver II type membrane disc diffusers and Flygt slow-speed mixers in the activated sludge chambers. A characteristic feature of Sanitaire diffusers is the high efficiency of oxygen transfer. The installed fine-bubble aeration system allowed for significant savings in terms of electricity consumption.
