Wedeco BX UV lamps

UV lamp series Wedeco BX is equipped with efficient, low-pressure radiators UV Spektotherm® with high intensity of ultraviolet radiation. The solutions used allow for achieving very good disinfection results with simultaneous low energy consumption and less heat generation. During the lamp operation UV Spektotherm® reaches a temperature of only 100ºC, where comparable medium pressure lamps reach temperatures of 600-800ºC

The Wedeco BX series of UV lamps are ideal for inactivating harmful substances. Legionella bacteria, which are often found in hot water circuits. Compared to conventional lamps, BX lamps are temperature resistant and guarantee the best disinfection results, also in hot water.

Areas of application

Drinking water
Wedeco BX systems are particularly attractive to water companies supplying drinking water.

Industrial water
A significant proportion of the drinking water consumed worldwide is used in industry, for example for production and food, in the cosmetics industry, for rinsing and for recycling. Thanks to its short overall length with U and Z connections, as well as thanks to the variable flow direction, the Wedeco BX system can be easily integrated into existing pipelines.

Warm water / Legionella
UV disinfection is also suitable for inactivating harmful Legionella bacteria, which are often found in hot water circuits. Compared to conventional lamps, the temperature-resistant Spektotherm® UV lamps guarantee the best disinfection results even in hot water.

Purified sewage
UV radiation is also used for wastewater disinfection. The BX series opens up new possibilities for wastewater treatment for reuse.

UV dose control in Wedeco BX lamps

Wedeco BX systems can optionally be equipped with a fully automatic dose control system, which enables the output power to be precisely adjusted to the water quality and flow rate. This prevents the use of too high a dose of UV radiation. The output power of the UV lamp is constantly monitored, which significantly reduces operating costs.
