Microfiltration is increasingly used as the final step in water purification.
The process uses compact systems with the possibility of installation in channels and in pressure systems. They provide high efficiency at low installation, use and maintenance costs.
Low energy consumption and simple design make the devices an optimal way to purify wastewater and water.
Principle of operation
Polluted water flows into the filter drum where it is cleaned in the process of gravity filtration. If an excessive amount of suspension settles on the filter meshes, after the drum rotates, an automatic cleaning system is activated, which flushes the contaminants in countercurrent, causing them to be discharged through the drain channel.
Mesh sizes from 15 μm to 3 mm allow for filtration of most contaminants. An efficient cleaning system and durable stainless steel construction ensure long service life of the devices.
The use of flexible drive belts allows the device to operate in aggressive environments and with high startup frequency.
Application
