Last week, Proffico implemented a new project entitled "𝐴𝑢𝑡𝑜𝑛𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑐𝑧𝑛𝑎 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑐𝑗𝑎 𝑑𝑒𝑧𝑦𝑛𝑓𝑒𝑘𝑐𝑗𝑖 ". The installation was completed for the Krakow City Waterworks and is aimed at zonal water disinfection.

As is common knowledge, disinfectant concentration gradually decreases with increasing distance from the dispensing point. In large water systems – such as those in large cities – this can lead to complete depletion of the disinfectant in the most remote sections of the network. The Proffico autonomous disinfection station allows for local and zone-specific increases in disinfectant concentration, protecting the system against the potential growth of microorganisms.

 

𝐓𝐫𝐳𝐲 𝐤𝐥𝐮𝐜𝐳𝐨𝐰𝐞 𝐰𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐠𝐢 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐳𝐧𝐞:

In this project, Proffico engineers had to meet three basic requirements: 𝐬𝐤𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐳𝐧𝐨𝐬́𝐜́ 𝐝𝐞𝐳𝐲𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐤𝐜𝐣𝐢, 𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐰𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐧𝐨𝐬́𝐜́ 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐲𝐜𝐳𝐧𝐚̨ 𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐳 𝐨𝐝𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐬́𝐜́ 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐣𝐢 𝐧𝐚 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐦.

 

𝐒𝐤𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐳𝐧𝐨𝐬́𝐜́ 𝐝𝐞𝐳𝐲𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐤𝐜𝐣𝐢 did not pose a major challenge, as a proven method of proportional dosing of sodium hypochlorite depending on the flow was used, while ensuring the proper conditions for its storage and administration.

 

𝐒𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐰𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐳𝐚𝐥𝐧𝐨𝐬́𝐜́ 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐲𝐜𝐳𝐧𝐚 was necessary due to the lack of access to the power grid. The solution turned out to be a photovoltaic system with energy storage.

 

𝐎𝐝𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐨𝐬́𝐜́ 𝐧𝐚 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐦 was particularly important because the station was located in an area away from buildings. Unfortunately, resistance to vandalism rarely goes hand in hand with aesthetics, so a compromise between functionality and appearance was necessary.

 

𝐃𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐤𝐨𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐳𝐰𝐢𝐚̨𝐳𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐚:

The station is also equipped with a complete occupational health and safety system, a heating system and automatic gas heating, which ensures its reliable operation in various weather conditions.
