Product Features

Due to the need to reduce costs and the fact that the technological processes carried out in the sewage treatment plant are aimed at achieving the assumed values of the dry matter level, Valmet sensors are used from the primary settling tank stage to the dewatered sludge incineration stage. Valmet microwave solids sensors are used in the most demanding applications and the obtained measurements are not only accurate but also repeatable.

The basic parameter measured by the Valmet sensor is the time of flight of a wave of the appropriate frequency in the tested medium. The advantages of microwave measurement include:

high accuracy – consistent with laboratory measurements,
no moving parts – no maintenance required,
resistance to pollution,
resistance to caustic and corrosive substances,
the measurement result is not influenced by changes in the composition of solids.
